Designer retail concept and purveyor of forward-pushing fashion, Dover Street Market, has officially opened its Singapore e-store ahead of launching its highly anticipated brick and mortar flagship. Conceived and founded by iconoclastic Comme des Garçons head, Rei Kawakubo, the first available items to hit the online shop include a number of selections from the brand’s diffusion line, Comme des Garçons PLAY.
Across the collection is New York artist Filip Pagowski’s iconic heart logo emblazoned on a range of tees, shirts, sweaters and knitwear, as well as high- and low-cut of iterations of the Chuck Taylor from the Play Converse collaborative collection, and a selection of wallets. Brands that are due to join them include DSM’s collaborative collections with Gosha Rubchinskiy, Vetements Reebok and Anti Social Social Club, as well as Raf Simons’ provocative Robert Mapplethorne collection.
Joining an exclusive list of cities that includes New York, London, Tokyo and Beijing, DSM’s fifth flagship is confirmed to open at the upmarket F&B haunt of Dempsey, with an official launch date yet to be announced. Located within the new COMO Dempsey retail space, which is helmed by luxury hotel and fashion boutique chain COMO Group and occupies 5,268 square metres across two blocks, DSM Singapore will be accompanied by restaurant COMO Cuisine and specially conceptualised restaurant-bar by French restaurateur Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who has put his fine culinary flair behind 32 establishments around the world.
