Like its namesake predator, PUMA has been aggressively on the hunt for an A-list team of collaborators to back its style-meets-performance threads. Having announced The Weeknd as a Creative Collaborator and Global Ambassador late last year to spearhead the brand’s ‘Run The Streets’ campaign – with a collaborative collection to arrive this year – PUMA now links arms with Grammy-nominated rapper, Big Sean, to share The Weeknd’s title of Creative Collaborator and Global Ambassador.
Furthering the brand’s music-minded partnerships, which has also seen an ongoing relationship with Rihanna for FENTY PUMA, Big Sean has been slated to become the face of an upcoming PUMA Classics campaign, while the brand will also be supporting the “Bounce Back” star for his I Decided. album tour. Pictured in a number of campaign shots sporting an all-black outfit that includes a PUMA Evolution Hoodie with a custom Detroit Tigers-inspired logo, Big Sean will be fronting Classics items like the Suede and Clyde sneakers and the T7 Track Jacket, in addition to an exclusive collection due for release in Spring 2018.
Commenting on the partnership in a statement, PUMA’s Global Director for Brand Marketing, Adam Petrick, says that work on collaborative designs has already begun, adding that, “We’re glad to see a fusion of his unique style and PUMA’s sports heritage coming through. We’re very pleased to welcome Sean to the PUMA family”.
