Comme des Garçons may be a Japanese fashion label with a French moniker, but there’s definitely one culturally inclusive tongue it can, and does, speak: the universal language of love. This binding force of l’amour takes the form of the iconic doe-eyed heart emblem designed by Filip Pagowski under the brand’s casual streetwear line, Play, and also manifests in the continuation of the label’s collaboration with American footwear staple, Converse.
The Comme des Garçons Play x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Polka Dot team-up offers a livelier iteration of Comme des Garçons Play’s whimsical take on the coveted Chucks styling. Available in black and white for both the high-top (S$200) and low-top (S$190) models, the collaborative sneakers come complete with clean line stitches and a vintage temperament. Rest assured, Pagowski’s heart logo will proudly adorn the 100% cotton uppers, cheekily propped against a polka dot statement and above an off-white rubber midsole.
The Comme des Garçons Play x Converse Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 Polka Dot sneakers are available at the Comme des Garçons POCKET and Comme des Garćons Hilton stores, and online at the Dover Street Market Singapore E-Shop at shop.doverstreetmarket.com/sg.
