Nike Reveals Kobe Bryant's First Post-Retirement Sneaker

Kobe Bryant may have retired from NBA, but his legacy lives on in his covetable footwear collaborations. Nike has officially released the L.A. Lakers star’s latest messiah-status affirming shoe, the ‘Nike Kobe A.D.’, and we gotta say, it looks like a lovechild between Nike and some sort of alien technology out of Predator – in a good way, of course.

Targeted to basketballers, sneakerheads, and any fan of the legendary Lakers guard (we won’t tell you how to live your life), the Nike Kobe A.D. is the first post-retirement sneaker produced under Kobe’s signature line. Taking into account lightweight performance and low profile for aggressiveness and agility on court, the performance-pushing footwear channels Kobe Bryant’s effortless moves on court that earned him the nickname, “The Black Mamba”.

Pushing the boundaries of your average basketball shoe, the Nike Kobe A.D. features a Zoom Air unit in the heel, Lunarlon foam in the midsole and a minimal rubber outsole (with micro-tread traction). The shoe also possesses responsive and flexible cushioning for maximum feel in court, with a breathable mesh upper and Dynamic Flywire technology that allows one to swiftly pivot and change directions during critical plays – or a quick run to the grocery store.

The Nike Kobe A.D. is available at Nike stores from November 22.
