Since its foundation in 1958, Reebok has continuously pushed the envelope in designing footwear silhouettes that later take hold as classics, from the street-friendly Classic Leather Lux to the futuristic Instapump Fury. Now, the brand looks back to its roots to pioneer the next step of its evolution with the Zoku Runner.
From the Japanese zoku, meaning “tribe” or “family”, Reebok unveils the contemporary silhouette in a family of unique colourways and constructions. Inspired by the brand’s designs from the ’70s through to the ’90s, the Zoku Runner combines features from Reebok’s Classic silhouettes and combines them with forward-thinking technology to produce a sneaker that unifies its past and present. Reinterpreting the iconic Reebok vector and incorporating it into a molded TPU cage that hugs the knitted upper, the sneaker’s construction and aesthetic embody the speed and momentum of its muse.
Available in two lightweight, sock-like silhouettes, the UltraKnit Intricate Surface and the UltraKnit Heathered, the digital knitting technology offers its wearer enhanced breathability, while facilitating comfort and movement through its flexible construction and elastic collar.
The Zoku Runner UltraKnit Intricate Surface ($179) and UltraKnit Heathered ($199) are available at The Social Foot and Limited Edt stores (Queensway and Underground).
