This is the one space in the house where a dude can dig into cold pizza, guzzle copious amounts of beer and catch the latest football game, unfettered by the judgement of others. The man cave, the last bastion of masculinity, serves as a retreat for the male individual, isolated from the rest of the household. If you’re looking to set up your very own ‘mantuary’, TANGS has launched a Man Cave-themed pop up store for all of your primal, manly man desires.
The piece de resistance of the TANGS’ Man Cave has to be the Lungolinea Table Tennis Table by Impatia, a luxury ping-pong table made of crystal glass. A bit on the extravagant side, sure, but who said man caves had to be all woodwork and brown leather? Featured as key pieces are a range of high-end audio offerings from AV Intelligence, such as Estelon speakers offering the finest sound, Ultrasone headphones, and a two-speed analogue turntable available in a range of colours.
Vinyl is all the rage and has fast become a mainstay of any man cave. The folks from The Barbershop Music have brought a selection of favourites from several genres, including pop and rock classics, jazz and alternative/indie pop and rock. Then, adorn your walls with pop art pieces capturing well-known faces and quotes from pop culture icons, sporting personalities and superheroes. Designed by emerging artist Keetatat Sitthiket, these works combine romantic and humorous elements with bold and loud statements.
TANGS is welcoming shoppers to celebrate the launch of Man Cave on June 17, from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. Catch local barbers in action at the two-day only pop up barbershop, or enjoy a blast to the past with retro arcade games like Pac Man and Space Invaders. Time to man up.
TANGS Man Cave is located at Level 4 of Tang Plaza from now till July 20.
