10 years into its mission to unearth up-and-coming concepts and ideas in the world of fashion and design, lifestyle brand and curator of ‘future classics’, kapok, is celebrating its second year in Singapore by ushering in a bumper crop of seven local designers for their upcoming exhibition, kapok+65.
Held at its flagship store at National Design Centre, the month-long pop up exhibition, coinciding with Singapore Design Week, will feature homegrown design talents and labels ranging from Desinere, who shape their reflective quiet aesthetic through pleats and concrete, to the clean, organic, and unassuming functional wooden lifestyle accessories crafted by kuru that emanate zen-like Japanese calm.
Also making an appearance are the stylistic coalitions that the metalsmiths of Stale & Co. forge and transmute into their one-of-a-kind rings and bracelets, alongside many more showcases by Arete Goods, In Good Company, Olivia Lee, and smôl tôk.
Until March 20 at kapok at NDC, #01-05 National Design Centre. For more info, visit facebook.com/kapoksg.
