We’ve all shared that sense of euphoria when festival act takes us to ‘another place’ while united as an audience. But what if we were able to literally go to another place while reveling in a state of sonic bliss? That’s the idea behind Shipsomnia: The Search For The Lost Rhythms. Sending music-lovers on a voyage to new aural and geographic planes, the international escapade promises to make the journey just as memorable as the destinations.
Spanning five days and four nights aboard the luxury cruise-liner, Costa Victoria, guests will embark from Singapore en route to Phuket and Langkawi, where rollicking beach parties await their arrival. Turning the expedition into an immersive aquatic experience, the ship’s onboard zones are decked out in steampunk décor, with fantastical mermaids and Krakens descending dancing audiences into a deep-sea celebration. Joining passengers for the nautical festivities are over 30 DJs to keep the party non-stop, while providing DJ workshops and intimate Q&A sessions amidst a slew of activities below deck – including treasure hunts, poker tournaments, and thrilling dating games for singles amidst an aquatic wonderland.
Early bird tickets go on sale on May 24 at 12pm, offering savings of up to US$400 per cabin. With pricing beginning at US$699 per person, a deposit of US$250 will secure your place on deck with options to split the balance in three easy payments. Passengers also stand the chance to win a VIP luxury experience worth up to US$10,000 by registering for access to early bird packages before noon on May 24 – with limousine transfers, a Suite Cabin upgrade, rubbing shoulders and getting pampered with special guest DJs, and a bunch of other loot that’ll have Davey Jones himself green with envy.
Gearing things up before departure, Shipsomnia is touring Asia’s clubs to equip you with an aquatic club experience to match. Docking in Singapore tonight for the next stop of Road To Shipsomnia, UK break-beat veterans Stanton Warriors are joined by residents Ramesh K and Norman C at kyo to electrify audiences for the perfect primer before setting sail. Guests at the event also stand a chance to win themselves a spot on the cruise, with a Double Occupancy Interior Class Cabin package valued at US$1,778. Register before 11.30pm tonight for priority entry HERE.
