“Sorry, You’re Not A Winner” is a message that doesn’t apply to Enter Shikari fans this year, as the Hertfordshire-based post-hardcore outfit gears up to rock Singapore on April 26, 2018 at The Substation.
Marking the synthy-yet-heavy group’s first performance on Singapore soil, who’ve undoubtedly waited for the band’s arrival anxiously since the 2007 mosh-worthy debut, Take to the Skies, the four-piece will be touring in support of the fifth full-length The Spark. As of yet, Singapore and Bangkok are the only stops for the band’s maiden voyage to our corner of the earth. Presented by Street Noise SG, the band will be supported by local post-hardcore outfit boxchild.
Peaking at number four on the UK album chart in 2007 with the band’s breakthrough LP, Enter Shikari emerged at the height of post-hardcore and electronic music’s fusion, with acts like Underoath, I See Stars and Attack Attack! making waves for their modern take on heavy music. Incorporating elements of pop, dance and alternative rock, the band’s use of distinctive synths has culminated in a sound reminiscent of new wave, channeling a theatricality that extends beyond its heavy origins.
Enter Shikari performs at The Substation on April 26, 2018. Tickets from SGD 65, on sale now at entershikari.peatix.com.
