In a line-up already bursting with talent, the Singapore arm of Laneway 2017 has announced its final wave of acts to appear this year’s edition of the indie music festival. Joining an impressive list of Aussie acts, Melbourne-based seven piece King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are set to bring their prolific brand of psychedelia to our shores, among others.
Arguably one of the hardest working bands to come from Down Under, or anywhere else for that matter, King Gizzard’s fusion of psych rock and beach pop has permeated the globe with a whopping eight albums in just four years. However, it’s nothing compared to what the band seeks to accomplish in 2017, with the ambitious goal of releasing no less than five albums this year alone – and that’s on top of having just been announced to play Coachella in April.
Among an exciting number of regional acts, Malaysian synth electronica siren Froya , party starters weelikeme & KiDG of Poptart, and girl-power DJ collective ATTAGIRL!’s A/K/A SOUNDS.
