Guess who’s back with a brand new silhouette – Onitsuka Tiger have reimagined the iconic MEXICO 66 sneakers in what could be the most innovative version of this range since 2012.
With performance upgrades in mind, the ASICS Institute of Sport Science has developed a patented fuzeGEL which cushions the toe and heel portions. To make sure you feel the difference, the same gel is also placed along the midsole. OrthoLite covers the insole so that you can wear these kicks for a long time without worries of wear and tear.
The shoe is called the MEXICO 66 SD and as such, it maintains legacy features that we all know and love; like the thin sole, the Onitsuka Tiger stripe, and iconic heel flap.
Apart from a slimmer and sleek silhouette, the latest update comes with a rubber outer sole, making it perfect for traversing wet surfaces. The upper is available in two materials: high-quality leather and suede with more texture.
The January collection comes in four colourways: Cream, Yellow, Vaporous Grey and Black.
The new Onitsuka Tiger MEXICO 66 SD retails for $199 and is available at AW LAB, Limited Edt, Pacific Sports SG, Pedder Group, Robinsons at The Heeren, The Social Foot and Sole Central.
