Striding towards design-minded apparel with a focus on form with countless collaborations (without ballooning its price points, to which we lend applause), UNIQLO‘s Uniqlo U Fall/Winter 2017 collection further cements its place as an atelier for excellence and elegance, and more than just a basics brand.
The third collection to spring from the mind of Christophe Lemaire, Artistic Director of the UNIQLO Paris R&D Centre, the collection reinforces the LifeWear concept by comprising both form-fitting structure and billowing silhouettes. Introducing a ‘3D U-Knit’ technique , form and comfort are enhanced through ‘WHOLEGARMENT’ technology – a three-dimensional knitting method that produces whole garments while eliminating seams – ensuring figure-hugging fits and greater movement.
UNIQLO’s renowned BLOCKTECH technology also makes a comeback in men and women’s coats, combining matte cotton surfaces with wind and waterproofing properties to outlast the elements. Contrasting the forward-thinking fabric construction with a simple, elegant aesthetic that spans muted and deep tones, the 83-piece collection democratises Parisian design at a price range of SGD 7.90 (HEATTECH Socks) to SGD 199.90 (Men’s BLOCKTECH Mods Coat).
The Uniqlo U Fall/Winter 2017 collection will be available at Uniqlo stores in two phases, on October 6 and November 10, 2017.
