The Potato Head we’ve grown to love lies in the heart of Singapore, deep in the lanes of Keong Saik Road. As the first international base of the Indonesia-based hospitality and lifestyle company, it is now home to a branch of Three Buns Burgers & Cocktails, Studio 1939 and other meritable establishments.
So what happens when something as cool as Potato Head, collides with the creative craftsmanship of Japanese streetwear brand Wacko Maria? A collection of limited edition shirts which exonerate the culture, myths and exoticism of Bali – the go-to destination for beach buffs.
The exclusive release features three hand-illustrated designs which are crafty spin-offs of the the classic Hawaiian shirt. Blending in Wacko Maria’s trademark tailoring and attention to detail, the collaboration highlights a trio of unique designs – Bali Collage Dancer, Mystic Island and Bali Tropics.
The timeless styles were hand-illustrated by Wacko Maria’s design team in only two months and they surely did a great job in fusing Potato Head’s progressive design ethic. Check out the full collection below:
