When a band’s bio reads, “There once was a tale from Uranus,” you know its music probably shouldn’t be taken too seriously. Peddling unadulterated pop-punk fun as if it were blasted from a tube of pogs circa 1995, Take-Off‘s scooped guitars, galloping drum beats, and lowlife lyricism are reminiscent of early Blink and Green Day records. With their latest studio effort, This Won’t Save The World, the Singaporean three-piece makes clear that they’re not seeking to bring about a revolution; they’re just here for a good time.
Joining us for the latest edition of JUICE Sessions, a good time is exactly what Take-Off delivered, performing songs from the 2015 EP, This Is Punk Rock. This Is For You., and the single, “Damaged On The Inside”, which also happens to be the title of a short film currently in development, inspired by the band’s 2017 EP.
