As we all know, Iron Man has pioneered his role in the Avengers as the leader and one of the founding members of the team. He utilises his glorious high-tech suit of armours to fight villains and assist the avengers through his highly sophisticated weaponry readied for any catastrophic attack that descends upon the Marvel universe. Underneath that jazzy yet powerful suit of armour, Iron Man is Tony Stark, a billionaire-playboy-philanthropist. Leading up to the upcoming Marvel Studios blockbuster, Avengers: Infinity Wars, we learnt that that the cast members, including Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man will assemble in Singapore for a public fan event at Marina Bay Sands. Now, that begs the question: if you had to bring Iron Man around town for a couple of days, which spots would you pick? We’ve got some ideas below.
#1 Marina Bay Sands
This is a no-brainer. If you had billions of dollars tied to your name, you definitely want to live life to the fullest. At Marina Bay Sands, Tony Stark will have no problem popping tags at the shoppes filled with a selection of high end brands. After dark, he can liven it up with a spectacular view of the city’s skyline by taking a dip in the world’s largest rooftop pool at the SkyPark Observation Deck.
#2 Common Man Stan
What happens when Iron Man meets Common Man Stan? Well, lots of brunchin’ with a good ol’ cuppa made with speciality beans roasted in-house. Also, we’re not talking about Stan Lee, who is certainly not a common man. The cafe is named as Common Man Stan because of it’s location at Stanley Street. So, this is the closest we got to having a Stan (Lee) cameo in the city.
Dubbed as the ‘Gotham building’ by locals, Parkview Square towering presence invites guests to it’s grand art deco lobby and bar, ATLAS. We know, Gotham, Batman, yeah, wrong universe. But still, the spot exudes a grand setting for rich billionaires like Tony Stark to hide away after hours to soak in the grandiose atmosphere with the signature cocktail, The ATLAS Martini.
#4 Simply Toys @ Vivocity
For any pop culture geek, Simply Toys will hold a special significance in their hearts. The store offers a range of toys collectible and pop culture merchandises, from POP Vinyl figurines to life size statues, they have it all. Packed with a wide range of collectibles and refined toys sealed in showcases, the store is a little museum for toys. As you reach the end of the store, be enthralled by the various sized figurines. Tony Stark might want to stand beside the life size Iron Man status to check if they got the proportions right.
#5 Consumer Electronics Exhibition Show 2018 (CEE SHOW)
Just in case Tony Stark wants to flex his high-tech products at the exhibition. Or, he might be able snag up some discounts on IT products he chances upon. Although, CEE SHOW brings in a diverse range of well-known brands, Stark Industries should be on their top of the list. We’re pretty sure Tony is able to negotiate that.
